DOES GOD NOTICE?

I have thought about what is happening to us a month ago. A 25 yrs. old man had passed last month. The good news is, he is saved and the bad news is, he has 2 kids and a wife and now who will shoulder their daily needs. Well, I really don't know how God works on this. He works in ways I cannot see.

A woman from Alambijud was in the hospital. She has a cyst in the ovary and needs operation. I knew that God knows all this. He has a plan for every situation. I have thought about Job. Job himself suffered but still he glorified God despite of the pains. My prayer is that may our faith grows, and may we glorifies God still. I have thought about how Mighty He is and started to say "God why don't you make our life easier", but a lot of verses from the Bible hit me. Our thoughts are not His thoughts.

Our old schedules are doing fine. I was obliged to lead the group that we have at Rehabilitation Center here in our place. I am glad meeting them again, singing songs, telling stories and sharing testimonies. I really want them to talk, so before we get in there, I have a plan to do whatever I could so that they will be my friends, I mean, I want them to talk freely to me as friends.

This is written two days ago. I have visited some of the blogs and I love to hear what other people say. I came to the point about posting, so here I am again.

FIRST TIME FELLOWSHIP

We had a lot of contacts on the mountain areas. For almost ten years, there are people who spend their time, money, effort etc. to be with those people so that they will be informed that there is something more important in their lives, the Word of God. One family got interested and they study with us and got saved. Salvation is one of the goals in teaching the lessons. Right now, they quitted, but God is still working in their lives. We really don't know how but we know He will. We still have outreaches out there. The adults are gone and sometimes we started to to think of the time and effort spent for their lives, it hurts but we never lose hope. There are little children out there who are interested to heard the Word and we were teaching them according to their levels of understanding.

Last first week of January we visited those people. It was Saturday. It was a rainy day and it is really hard to walk up if there is rain, we need to take off our slipper. One of our contacts is living far away from the road, so we need to walk again, it is really challenging. (It is not hard for me though because I have that kind of living.) We met them. They wanted to meet us too. We saw their happy faces. We sung songs of joy and get acquinted. It was the first time and mostly they are shy but they will learn to talk like brothers and sisters on the next years.

To God be the Glory!

OUR YOUTH CAMP

We had our Youth Camp last Dec. 22, 2006. We were expecting 50+ people to be in the camp but only few of them were there. My brother has a lot of contacts to other people. He made all the follow-ups before.

We invited youths from RRCY "Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth". Fifteen of them were there. I got their names, ages and where they came from. Yeah, they are from RRCY but we don't want to make it obvious that they are from jail for some reason. We were trying to trait them like the other people who are not from jail.

Self-acceptance was the first topic. We had prepared a presentation for them, a drama. We played the drama first before the session so that they could get ideas for the session. The topic was really new to them. They had participated a lot of seminars, youth-camps etc. but that was something special where it deals important points of who they are. I have heard about self-acceptance but I am really willing to learn more about it.

The second topic was Friendship, I mean, maintaining a good friendship. During my high school days, I never forget when my teacher taught us on how to gain more friends. Asking questions, you let them talk, you listen etc. I really found it useful.... in my daily life, especially when you teach. A lot of examples were listed on how to start conversations, just giving them ideas.

The third topic was Submission to Authority. Usually, teenagers would try what they could do, make their own decisions, go anywhere without asking permission from their parents. The session would really help them.

One week after the camp, we visited some of them who were at the camp. We would like to listen from them about what they had learned.

It was a one-day-seminar and was conducted by us. A lot of preparations for it and we forgot Christmas.... hehehe. Someone ask me where I was at Christmas, I answered him, "I was at my house sleeping". We were really tired, especially those speakers.

Kining tanan maoy para sa Dios. To God be the Glory again. We really don't know how God works in their lives but we know that He will work on His own ways.
